Why Networks?

We at Bulletproof Pride recognize that all volunteers come from diverse backgrounds of activism, organizing, and lived experiences. We want our organization to properly reflect the stories of our members. Bulletproof Pride has created five networks that volunteers can join and bring their perspectives to the table with what campaigns, events, and initiatives we take on as an organization.

Our Five Networks:

Impact Network

This network works directly with those who have been impacted by gun violence, having their stories through our Share Your Story campaign at the forefront of our demands for change; joining our previous Mental Health team.

Rapid Response Network

Our Rapid Response Network (RRN) is home to our previous Policy, Judicial, and Research teams. The RRN is responsible for tracking important legislation or judicial decisions that may require rapid response efforts, research polls, and policy priorities for the organization and more hands-on organizing.

Equity Network

The Equity Network houses our previous Diversity, Volunteer Engagement, Onboarding, and Education teams. This network will be responsible for leading the discussions around creative ways to foster a more inclusive space for volunteers and providing the space to connect with new volunteers to help those interested in our organization feel at home at Bulletproof Pride.

Administrative Network

Our Administrative Network will be more of the background “nitty gritty” aspects of the organization. This will be our fundraising efforts, oversight of the organization to make sure we maintain democratic processes throughout our space and work with our Equity Network with the structural changes needed to foster an inclusive environment.

Creativity Network

The Creativity Network (CN) is in charge of brainstorming our events and projects for volunteers to get involved in that take a more creative approach to activism outside of the usual protests/legislative meetings. This will be in the form of previous events we’ve hosted like our Pride Workshops, and GOTV (get-out-the-vote) initiatives, as well as future events through our content creation across social media and in-person events across the country.
